Galveston Bay Buzz! ❤️

Hello Friends!
Today is a special day!! Happy 70th Birthday, Mom! 🎂 Thinking back on all those childhood memories—the laughter, the warmth, the little things you did for me. Thank you for making my world full of love.
Can you believe it’s already April?! Some days I feel like I bumped my head and woke up in the future because it’s hard to believe how fast time has flown by the past few years.
Happy Easter Week!! Easter has always been a memorable holiday, made special by my mom as I was growing up. I knew I’d wake up to a basket full of goodies and a brand-new Sunday dress. The night before, I remember my mom twisting strips of torn-up rags into mine and my sister’s hair so it would curl overnight. Then we’d wake up, get dressed, and head off to Sunday morning church together.
Do you have memories of Easter from your own childhood—or memories of making it special for your kids or grandkids? We can always start creating new memories today, and those just might be the ones our families cherish most.
As I get older, I’ve realized how important it is to appreciate time and truly treasure each day—because tomorrow is never promised. This week, make sure to take a moment for yourself and enjoy the life you have and the people around you.

🚨 Kemah Police Crack Down on… Slow Drivers in the Fast Lane 🚨
KEMAH, TX — In a surprising turn of events this morning, the Kemah Police Department announced a brand-new traffic initiative targeting one of the area’s most controversial driving habits: going way too slow in the fast lane.
Dubbed “Operation Move It or Merge It,” the department says officers will begin monitoring major roadways for drivers cruising under the speed limit in the left lane — especially those “just enjoying the view.”
“We’ve issued plenty of tickets for speeding over the years,” said one officer. “But today, we’re focusing on folks who treat the fast lane like a Sunday stroll.”
According to the announcement, violators may receive:
A friendly escort to the right lane.
A complimentary “Slowpoke” bumper sticker.
In extreme cases, a mandatory seminar titled “Blinkers: They’re Not Just for Decoration”.
Local residents have already begun reacting to the news. “I thought it was about time,” said one commuter. “If you’re going 38 in a 45 in the fast lane… respectfully, what are we doing?”
The department also hinted at future initiatives, including:
Cracking down on drivers who wait until the last possible second to merge.
Investigating vehicles that brake for absolutely no reason.
A rumored undercover unit dedicated to spotting “phone-in-hand at green light” offenders.
While the announcement sparked excitement across the Galveston Bay Area, officials later confirmed the initiative will only be enforced for one day.
“Tomorrow,” the department clarified, “we’ll go back to pretending we didn’t see you doing 85 mph.”
Happy April Fools’ Day, Kemah — and remember… the left lane is for passing, not sightseeing. 😉
