Galveston Bay Buzz! ❤️

Hello Friends! This coming weekend, I’m celebrating a huge accomplishment. I’ll be walking across the stage as they call my name to receive my MBA degree… and it still doesn’t feel real. I spent countless weekends and evenings studying, and there were many moments when I wanted to quit. But today, I can say I accomplished something I once believed was impossible. There were weeks when it felt like every man/woman for themselves at my house, and I’m so grateful for my husband and grown kids who stepped up—cooking, helping, and taking care of things so I could stay focused and finish strong. This past weekend, I tried on my cap and academic gown and noticed the dramatic sleeves (see example below). I learned they actually symbolize advanced academic achievement. That sounds so official, right? Meanwhile, I’m over here thinking they’re perfectly designed snack and phone holders. Strategic? Absolutely. Don’t worry—I’ll be using those hanging sleeves to secure my phone, and I’ll share my special moment with all of y’all when I stop on stage to take a selfie! If you put your mind and motivation into something, you can achieve it. Don’t be afraid to fail. Failure isn’t the end; it’s part of the process. Every failure teaches you something, strengthens you, and prepares you for the next step. If you keep trying, keep pushing, and refuse to quit, you will succeed. It might take longer than you planned. It might look different than you imagined. But it will be worth it. Failure creates success. |

Kemah, Seabrook and Clear Lake Shores Spotlight
My goal for this newsletter has always been to stay local and stay connected with our communities. I have some amazing restaurants I’m excited to share with you soon, but this week I felt a nudge on my heart to share something even more important. Sometimes, highlighting what truly matters takes priority.
This week, I want to focus the spotlight on something that truly reflects the heart of our community: The Give More Foundation and its Local Blessing Box—a simple, powerful resource stocked by the community, for the community.
The Blessing Box is open to anyone in need, no questions asked, and it's located right outside the Kemah Police Station at 1401 N Hwy 146, Kemah. Whether you're dropping off items or picking something up, it's all about neighbors helping neighbors.
Earlier this week, the Blessing Box was completely empty. Thankfully a City of Kemah employee stepped in and donated nonperishable food items to help restock it.
It’s hard not to feel a little heavy thinking that someone in our own community may be wondering where their next meal will come from, and we might pass each other without ever knowing. That’s why this small box matters. It’s more than a box. It’s a reminder that we can look out for one another.
This Saturday, March 7th, the Kemah community is coming together for a FOOD DRIVE from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kemah City Hall, located at 1401 N Hwy 146, Kemah.
Items Needed:
Canned vegetables and fruit
Pasta, rice and grains
Peanut butter and canned protein
Instant meals and cereal boxes
Baby formula
If you can’t make it to the food drive, you can still support the effort by donating at this link: The Give More Foundation
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference right here at home.

Kemah, Seabrook and Clear Lake Shores Developments
Stay tuned… the buzz is just getting started. 🐝
Kemah Boardwalk is converting parts of the former Joe’s Crab Shack site into a new water park entrance and additional attractions. We can’t wait to see the finished project and are looking forward to having a new place close to home where we can cool off when that Texas summer heat rolls in.
Residential expansions like Kemah Crossing, a new home community by Meritage Homes shows housing growth, and there are also infrastructure improvements such as road widening that support future development. I know the construction can feel overwhelming at times, but the improvements underway will soon bring new roads and smoother routes for all of us to enjoy.
The Zip code covering Kemah and Clear Lake Shores has dozens of ongoing construction and renovation projects underway. From waterfront dock improvements to commercial expansions, these developments represent millions of dollars in investment flowing into our communities.
Clear Lake Shores is investing in Shell Bottom Park boat dock and ramp improvements, enhancing public access to the water and recreation. This is great for local quality of life and attracting visitors.
Construction is currently underway at Seabrook Town Centre. The mixed-use development that will include retail, dining, and residential components, all designed to make Seabrook a more vibrant.
