Galveston Bay Buzz!

Hello Bay Area, Houston! It’s hard to believe the holidays are already here. I hope you’re able to spend this season surrounded by family, friends, and the people who make this community feel like home.
Do me a favor and share this local newsletter with your friends and family so everyone can stay up to date on all the exciting holiday events coming to our area this next month.
Clear Lake Area Spotlight
The Clear Lake Area is where rockets meet sailboats—a place where aerospace, tourism, and waterfront neighborhoods intersect. It’s a community shaped by innovative technology and the tide. Since Clear Lake blends seamlessly into Houston and Webster, my Clear Lake Area Spotlights will include the surrounding areas.
While on the hunt for a good, strong cup of coffee—I came across Art of Coffee in Clear Lake, and it did not disappoint. I sat inside the cozy coffee shop drinking my stronger-than-mud Red Eye and taking in the local art lining the walls. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gift this holiday season, stop by Art of Coffee and pick a local art piece right off the wall.
As Hotumn (Texas Autumn) drags on in our region, I find myself craving Cajun down-home cooking the moment that two-hour cold front blesses us with her presence. When those cravings hit, you will want to make your way over to Abe's Cajun Market & Cafe. You can dine in or take your Cajun favorites to go, this family-owned gem brings Louisiana comfort food right to our backyard.
Clear Lake Area Developments
Webster will be expanding our taste buds soon with several new restaurants on the way, including Brazilian Steakhouse Gauchos Do Sul, Ambriza Social Mexican Kitchen, and Ale & Ivy.
Clear Lake, get ready! A new Kirby Ice House is coming to 530 Bay Area Blvd., with a tentative completion date the end of August 2026.
Sprouts Farmers Market will be coming to Webster in 2027! We will keep an eye on this development and will provide more updates in the future.
The Hilton on NASA still appears to be set for a makeover and transition into a Compass Hotel by Margaritaville, but the timeline remains unknown.
Stay tuned… the buzz is just getting started. 🐝
