Galveston Bay Buzz!

Hello Bay Area, Houston! This past week, while everyone rushed by me staring down at their phones, I looked up at the trees blowing in the wind and thought of the movie Last Christmas: “There’s so much beauty in the world if you just…look up.” If you haven’t watched it, watch it twice — the second time will be different than the first.

This newsletter has made me put down my phone, look up, and truly look around. It has opened my eyes to the people, places, and things around me. When was the last time you looked up and simply took in the beauty of the world around you?

This holiday season, help me spread more joy by having your friends and family subscribe to this local newsletter. Please follow and share my social media pages to show your support and help me grow!

Kemah, Seabrook and Clear Lake Shores Spotlight

This week I’m back in the Kemah, Seabrook, and Clear Lake Shores area. I’ll keep this short because we’re bursting at the seams with events that even the friend who “never likes anything” will find something to like.

This past week I came across The Junkyard Pearl Boutique, and Y’ALL! It’s adorable, so if you still need to do some Christmas shopping go check out this locally owned boutique. Stay local and spend your money locally this holiday season!

When you finish shopping head to Bakkhus Taverna in Kemah. We are sad because they announced they will be closing their doors on December 31st after serving our local community for 17 years. Stop by and show them your support before it’s too late! We’ll keep our eyes and ears open in case they pop up in a new location in the future.

If you look up toward Seabrook, you might see lights dancing in the sky. If you want a closer look, head over to 503 Hedgecroft Drive in El Lago, TX. This is a real-life Deck the Halls home.

Kemah, Seabrook and Clear Lake Shores Developments

The Dakota at Kemah had its groundbreaking ceremony on December 9th. These luxury apartments will be at 2801 Lawrence Rd in Kemah before we know it.

Shell Bottom Park Boat Ramp in Clear Lake Shores will have its groundbreaking ceremony on December 19th at 1pm.

The new Verizon in Kemah at 365 FM 518 Rd, Kemah will have its ribbon cutting on December 11th at 11:30am.

Home2Suites by Hilton has been a possibility for a while and could still potentially be coming to Kemah.

Stay tuned… the buzz is just getting started. 🐝
