Hello, Friends! ❤️
Is it just me, or does time seem to be flying by at the speed of light? I feel like I just blinked, and somehow, we're already less than six months away from the holidays. It feels like I was just sitting around the table eating turkey on Thanksgiving, and now we're already halfway through summer. How did that happen? I definitely missed a few pages on the calendar.
Life moves fast, and it’s easy to get caught up in the endless to-do lists, work, errands, and adulting responsibilities. In the middle of life’s busyness, don’t forget to make time to rest and refresh your mind. Whether it’s sitting quietly with your morning coffee, getting lost in a book, taking a walk, trying a new local restaurant, visiting a farmers market, or escaping to the woods for a weekend.
In a world that never seems to slow down, allow yourself time to slow down. The laundry will still be there tomorrow, but the moments spent laughing, making memories, and enjoying time with the people you love are the ones you’ll remember most.
I hope this week’s newsletter inspires you to get out, explore our community, and take a little time to enjoy the slower moments in life.
All Up in the Bay's Business
A new spot has officially joined the Webster community! Sprouts Farmers Market recently opened at 1001 W. Bay Area Blvd., bringing a fresh selection of natural products, organic produce, healthy pantry staples, vitamins, and wellness finds to the Bay Area.
One of my favorite things about Sprouts is wandering through their bulk section because you never know what hidden gem you’ll discover. I recently picked up some Raspberry Lemon Mango dried fruit strips, and they were the perfect sweet little snack! If you love trying new things, be sure to check out their bulk aisles — you might just find your next favorite treat.
IKEA opened its doors at 19801 Gulf Freeway, Suite 110 in Webster, and of course I had to stop in for the cinnamon rolls — because honestly, that’s half the IKEA experience! They also have some delicious, imported chips from Sweden that are definitely worth trying.
It’s one of those places where you go in for one thing and somehow leave with a bag full of surprises. And if you’re looking for an indoor place to walk and get some steps in, IKEA is perfect—especially if you’ve never been before. You quickly realize it’s basically a maze and you have to see everything before you can escape.
Gauchos Do Sul is now open at 415 Royal Tern Way, Webster. It’s a great Brazilian dining experience with prime meats served tableside and a gourmet salad bar full of amazing options. If you’re looking for a new date night spot or just a fun night out with friends, this is a great place to go.
Smokin J’s Homemade Burgers & BBQ is now smoking meat at 10000 Emmett F. Lowry Expy, Suite 1138, Texas City with some foodie flavor combinations. If you’re looking to support local, be sure to stop by and give them a try!
Buzz Worth Sharing
The Bay Area, Houston community is having a growth spurt right now—especially Webster, League City and Seabrook. Between big national brands moving in and local concepts expanding, it’s turning into a mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment all stacked together. Keep your eyes and ears open because there are some new places coming to our neighborhoods.
Webster is buzzing with growth, and there’s so much to look forward to! The major Edgewater development continues to shape the future of the area with plans for new restaurants, retail, housing, and waterfront spaces. It’s exciting to watch this once small community grow and transform while still holding onto the neighborhood feel that makes Webster such a special place to call home.
League City continues to grow, and one of the newest developments to keep an eye on is Lilac Field at the corner of Highway 96 and Highway 146. This mixed-use destination is being designed to bring new restaurants, retail shops, entertainment, and business spaces together in a walkable area. It’s still under construction, but this is one of those projects that has the potential to become a popular gathering spot for dining, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one as new businesses are announced!
Seabrook has always been one of those places where waterfront views, local history, and small-town charm come together — and now, the city is entering an exciting new chapter. From the upcoming Seabrook Town Centre at The Edge, a mixed-use development planned with new residential, retail, and gathering spaces, to the continued vision for the Lakeside Circle Area, Seabrook is bringing more places to shop, dine, live, and connect. We can’t wait to see what’s next for this little bayfront gem — because Seabrook’s best days may still be ahead!
