Galveston Bay Buzz!

Hello Bay Area, Houston! My mind is all over the place today, like a scrambled egg with no plan. It’s probably because of that “this isn’t coffee, this is a life decision” cup I had this morning. It was so strong, after one sip I started remembering passwords from the 1900s. At this point, I have no idea where this newsletter is headed… so I’m just going to say a quick prayer and hope for the best. I want to start by thanking each and every one of you for subscribing to this local newsletter. I’ve been putting a lot of time and energy into growing it, and I truly believe it’s going to be worth it. On the weekends, you’ll usually find me out exploring our local communities—stopping by restaurants, checking out coffee shops, and discovering new spots to share with you. This past week, I stepped out of my comfort zone and started recording videos of myself for social media. They’re unedited and completely raw because I don’t have the time (or desire) to edit them, so feel free to laugh with me… or at me. Now that I’ve officially put myself out there, if you see me around, don’t be shy come say “Hello.” I would love to meet you and connect with you. If you’re enjoying this local newsletter each week, I’d truly appreciate you sharing it with your family, friends, and neighbors. And don’t forget to follow me on social media for weekend events, farmers markets, and brunch spots each week! |
This week I have the pleasure of featuring some local photos from Louis Cano Jr.

League City Spotlight
This past weekend, while exploring League City, I stopped by Nana’s Attic, and the smell of their coffee beans was so inviting the moment I walked through the door. This small, family-owned boutique has been part of our community since the 1900s (1991, to be exact). They offer unique gifts you won’t find anywhere else. They are family owned and operated, so this is a business owned by locals. As a locally owned and operated business, this is the kind of place that needs our support.
Just next door, you’ll find Holly Berry Tea Room at 501 E Main St in League City. This charming tea room has a welcoming feel the moment you walk through the door. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you can truly sit, sip, and enjoy the experience. They serve light bites like sandwiches, soups and salads, making it perfect for a laid-back lunch or catching up with friends. And if you have a toddler or young girl, they even have a dress-up room to make their tea party dreams come true.
