Galveston Bay Buzz!

Hello Bay Area, Houston! As this year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the past year and setting new goals that will challenge me this next year. In 2025, I accomplished goals I never thought possible and pushed myself beyond my own expectations by completing my MBA degree. This achievement was a powerful reminder that when you set your mind to something and stay committed, anything is possible. In 2026, set goals that challenge you beyond your own expectations. Take small, intentional steps each day towards achieving those goals. If I can do it, then I know you can too. Here’s to 2026 and a better you—same dreams, stronger coffee. Help me reach my goals in 2026 by sharing this local newsletter with your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers! Galveston Bay Buzz |
This week’s newsletter features some stunning photos captured by local photographer Amie Cave! If you’re a photographer and would like your local photos featured in an upcoming newsletter, please send them to [email protected]. We’d love to showcase your work! |
League City Spotlight
League City is officially a tourism friendly city, and we have the paper to prove it!! On December 16th the official certificate was received after Governor Greg Abbott Congratulated League City As Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community back in October. League City is now a Music Friendly Texas and Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community.
League City was recently featured on Expedition Texas as a spotlight city, but as you know, League City has been our spotlight city. From local favorites and hidden gems to the people who make this community special, it’s a place we’re proud to be a part of, and a great place to call home.
League City Developments
Fancy new things are just around the corner!! The Grand Parkway Expansion Project is a concept that dates back to the 1960s. To date, eight of the twelve segments of this 180-mile highway have already been completed, and the next segment is now moving toward League City in 2026.
Also, big things are on the horizon!! The master-planned community Legacy by Hillwood now has model homes open. They plan to build 510 homes in the first phase, with the first residents moving in during the first quarter of 2026.
Growth isn’t just about expanding—it’s about building stronger bonds and brighter futures together.
