Galveston Bay Buzz!

Hello Bay Area, Houston!

This cold weather has me in full hibernation mode. Just give me a hot cup of coffee, a stack of good books, a blazing fireplace, and a cozy blanket. I will resume life once I’ve thawed out and the warm sunshine returns. ☀️

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where the four seasons ease in gently and you have time to adjust. Here in the Houston/Gulf Coast area the weather crashes in like it’s running late, and I’m left wondering if it should grab a jacket, sunscreen, or a snow shovel! I start my day with the heat blasting and a hot cup of coffee while frost blankets my yard. Then before I even finish getting ready, I’m tossing ice cubes into my cup of coffee and blasting the A/C. Winter, meet summer, all within 30 minutes!!

Make sure you’re ready for the cold weather heading in this weekend — stock up on essentials and be sure your pets have a place to keep warm. 🐾

If you’re a local photographer and would like the opportunity to feature your local photos in an upcoming newsletter, please send them to [email protected].

We’d love to showcase your work!

Clear Lake and Beyond Spotlight

Social Media Reveal: El Jefe in Webster

Clear Lake and Webster blend together so seamlessly that if you blink, you might miss the welcome signs. While out exploring recently, I stumbled upon a hidden gem of a restaurant, El Jefe. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile, and the service throughout the meal was exceptional.

I started with their chips and salsa, the perfect AMAZING snack while I browsed the menu. As my eyes locked onto the Birria Pizza in the menu I knew I did not need to look any further — think quesadilla vibes, but pizza-size. When it arrived on a huge wooden tray, I knew I’d made the right life choice that day. The cheese pull was impressive, and the first bite had my taste buds dancing to a mariachi band.

Do yourself a favor and stop by El Jefe at 620 W NASA Parkway, Webster, TX.

Clear Lake and Beyond Developments

The Monk's Webster is now open at 1416 FM 528, Suite #D Webster, TX. It appears they offer a variety of Indian and some Chinese dishes on their menu. They are open 7 days a week. Stop by and show your support to this new business!

P. Terry's Burger Stand will be coming to 18611 Eastfield Dr, Webster in the near future. They started in Austin, Texas in 2005 and offer fresh quality ingredients. I will keep my eyes and ears open on this development.

Saunawelt European Sauna House is a public sauna house on the banks of Clear Creek opening soon and we can’t wait to relax and unwind at this beautiful place!
