Galveston Bay Buzz!

Hello Bay Area, Houston! We only have 28 days left to meet those New Year’s resolutions for 2025!! At some point during this past year, I attempted a detox to cut out coffee and sugar at the same time, and I almost didn’t survive. From that failure, I learned to start small! I no longer eat cookies with my morning coffee… I wait until lunch or dinner. It’s called discipline. |
This holiday season, help me spread more joy by sharing this local newsletter with your friends and family so everyone can stay connected to all the upcoming festive events in the Bay Area, Houston. |
League City Spotlight
We’re back in League City this week, where the holiday season is shining bright with sparkles of cheer sprinkled all across the city.
As I ventured over to Helen's Garden this past weekend, I had to dodge the cameras capturing Christmas-card-worthy photos of families throughout the park. This peaceful and immaculate little park sits off Main Street in the Historic District and if you blink you will miss it. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle, stop by the garden, sit on a bench for a few moments, and enjoy the beauty around you.
If you head up the street to League Park, you can enjoy the seasonal cheer spread all around. From the tall Christmas tree beside the caboose to the decked-out gazebo, you can feel the magic of the season in the air. This cool weather leaves you begging for a warm cup of hot cocoa or coffee, so don’t forget to stop by SoulFreak while you’re in the park.
When you get hungry, head over to The Empanada Bar and enjoy some delicious handmade empanadas. You will not be disappointed!
After the sun sets, make your way to Mar Bella and check out the stunning light displays on Azahar Court in League City, TX.
League City Developments
New things are coming to League City, and as you drive around, you’ll notice construction sites popping up all over the city.

Chipotle has the sign on the building at 1603 W. League City Parkway, so it’s officially official! The tentative date to open is sometime this month, so keep your eye on the building for the Grand Opening!
Einstein Bros. Bagels will be whipping up some shmear at 1911 W. League City Parkway, in early 2026, so just wait for that fresh baked bread smell to be filling the air very soon!
There is a new Papa's Pizza coming to 248 S. Egret Bay Blvd with a tentative opening date of January 2026.
